Education has been the common thread throughout my career for more than twenty years.
I find great fulfillment in sharing knowledge, inspiring hairdressers, and especially in seeing someone gain more confidence in their own abilities. My goal is not only to teach techniques, but above all to create understanding. Because when you understand why you do something, you gain the confidence to make the right choices for every client who sits in your chair.
As a member of the JOICO Belgium Creative Artist Team and JOICO Blonde Ambassador, I combine my passion for color with my love for education. I am also an educator for Febelhair and, through VM EDUCATION, I develop training programs that help hairdressers work behind the chair with more vision, creativity, and confidence.
Alongside my education work, I still love being behind the chair in my salon in Wechelderzande. I specialize in soft, beautiful blond transformations where healthy hair is always the foundation. For me, creating beautiful color is not about a formula alone, but about understanding the person behind the hair. By listening to my client’s wishes, lifestyle, and personality, I create results that feel natural and remain beautiful over time.
My passion for education and innovation led to the creation of the VM COLOR BOARD®. What started as a solution for my own work behind the chair has grown into a professional tool used by hairdressers in different countries to work more efficiently, consistently, and with greater precision.
Through VM EDUCATION, I continue to share my vision with hairdressers and selected academy partners. My goal is not to teach professionals to copy techniques, but to help them understand why a technique works. Because understanding gives you the confidence to make the right choices for every client who sits in your chair.

I believe a technique only becomes truly valuable when you understand why you apply it. That is why I don’t just teach the how, but most importantly the why. Once you understand that, you can adapt every color service to the individual client in your chair. Because true growth happens when knowledge, insight, and confidence come together.
Becoming a specialist in your craft goes far beyond technical skills. It is about consultation, color strategy, communication, creativity, and the ability to create an experience your clients will remember.
My mission is to inspire hairdressers to develop their own signature style, feel more confident behind the chair, and build a successful and sustainable career. Not by simply following trends, but by creating a strong foundation they can continue to build on for years to come.
